Pottery Barn items I use most from our registry
We are coming up on four years since our wedding and it has flown by! We have a big family wedding coming up and it had me thinking about wedding registries. I know registries make some people uncomfortable, but personally I think they’re helpful. When I go to a wedding, I want to get the happy couple a gift, but more often than not I don’t know what they have/want/need. In my opinion, it’s a useful tool and makes your guests’ lives easier.
I believe there is an art to the perfect wedding registry. When we were planning our wedding, I wanted to be sure every item we registered for would serve a purpose and be used plenty - not shoved to the back of a closet to be forgotten. I also wanted the items that we registered for to be super versatile. Since these are items that we would keep for a long time, I wanted them to be relatively timeless. And I have to say, I think I achieved that. We registered at only a couple select places: Crate & Barrel for kitchen wares and Pottery Barn for home goods. These are some of my most-used items that we registered for from Pottery Barn almost four years ago!
Tuscan Terra Cotta vases: These look great on their own or filled with flowers (fresh or dried).
Glass hurricanes: I have a different version of these and they’re fantastic. You can use different vase fillers throughout the year to match the season. During December, I love to fill them with mini ornaments and miniature lights.
Wheaton Striped Table Runner: This table runner is super versatile. It’s neutral enough you can use it in the summer or at Thanksgiving.
Tava Placemats: These woven placemats are our everyday, go-to option. Dave was very particular that he wanted large placemats, big enough to accommodate your plate, silverware and cup, so we went with the rectangular option. But I do love the round ones! We also have the baskets from this collection. They’re perfect for so many different things: bread, utensils, decoration…we even have our masks in one right now!
White linen napkins: I love these! They’re classic, versatile, and I love the crisp white. We also have the tablecloth!
Silver-plated picture frames: I rarely see picture frames on registries and it’s such a missed opportunity. Nice picture frames allow you to have a beautiful place to display your wedding photos! They also have some pretty brass ones, if that’s more your style.
