Seven Fun Things.

Hi, friends! How’s your week been? We have been laying low around here. Between school, one wedding and multiple trips this summer, we’re trying to take our rest where we can get it. This week has felt like the first time this summer where I’ve been able to truly allow myself to relax. Sometimes it’s hard for me to just let my to-do list go to the wayside and not feel like I need to be doing anything. I would imagine a lot of us feel this way.

But while relaxing this week, I found some fun articles and a hysterical podcast for your entertainment. Enjoy!

  1. 15 Iconic Buildings That Should Never Have Been Demolished

This made me low-key depressed. However, it was fascinating to see all of this incredible architecture: everything from the original Penn Station to parking garages to mansions. (Architectural Digest)

  2. A Birmingham cottage that is whimsical and high-fashion

This living room is to die for. The designer used fun colors, interesting shapes and the perfect dose of florals. (Veranda)

  3. The funniest thing I listened to all week

My sister turned me onto the Popcast and I am forever indebted to her. Even if you don’t watch The Bachelor(ette), this is still worth a listen. They basically just ruthlessly roast the contestants and I could not stop laughing. Is there anything more enjoyable than listening to people make each other laugh?

  4. A 200 sq-ft apartment tour

No, that was not a typo. 200 square feet! Mad props to this woman for making it work. (Remodelista)

  5. A 30 day phone breakup

Something we could all probably benefit from…I know I could! (Cup of Jo)

  6. Our Top 10 Renovation and Decoration Mistakes to Avoid

They freaking nailed it on this advice. I seriously cannot agree more with this article. Particularly the first point: avoid builder-grade everything!! (Style by Emily Henderson)

  7. Camille at the Wheel is my latest obsession

I have a soft spot for handmade pottery. I just love the texture and the idea that a real person formed your mug. I especially have my eye on her vases (you can never have too many, right?)
