Seven Fun Things.
Happy Sunday, all! And happy Father’s Day! Are you doing anything fun to celebrate? We have been enjoying a day that is under 90 degrees! We are Pacific Northwesterners through and through and this southern heat is killer. I’m trying to settle into a routine of waking up super early and getting outside for a bit before it gets too sweltering. Anyway, rather than yammering on about the weather….here are a few fun links from around the internet. I hope you have a great week, my friends!
Matriarchy Build: “We want to get tools into the hands of women.”
I love this! The women at Matriarchy Build provide consulting for people that need a little direction or assistance in DIY or home-reno projects. You can hire them to do the job (if they are located close by), or can just be a sounding board for you. What a great concept!! (Remodelista)
How fun are these wine cups?!
I am obsessed. They’re handmade, dishwasher-safe, and so freaking cheerful. I smile just looking at them. (Isabel Halley Ceramics)
The ultimate coastal grandma retreat
Wouldn’t it be so fun to rent this place for a vacation? It may have a few too many dainty florals and ruffles for my personal taste. Although, the rooms do make you want to curl up with a cocktail and have a long chat with friends. What do you guys think? (Architectural Digest)
This home tour will make you fall in love with painted hardwood floors.
I love this home so much!! The whites, off-whites, and muted colors create a soothing environment. Then she adds in moments of spunk with the light fixtures and the furniture silhouettes. (Domino)
Evlo Fitness is the best money I spend every month.
Not kidding. I’ve always enjoyed exercising, but this is another level. The classes are pretty short, fun, and super effective. I’ve put on a lot of muscle, but I really appreciate the fact that I don’t feel like I need to spend the next four days horizontal. Know what I mean? Bonus: the women that run it are downright delightful. Who doesn’t love a lady boss?
Making this homemade frozen yogurt this week!
Weird story: I woke up panicked in the middle of the night last week and thought “Why haven’t I tried to make homemade frozen yogurt? My entire adult life has been a waste.” Lo and behold, the next day I saw this recipe. Definitely giving it a shot this week! I think I’ll add cherries and chocolate chips. (What’s Gaby Cooking)
A couple layout solutions for pass-through dining rooms
Pass through dining rooms can present a difficult design challenge, especially if it’s a major thoroughfare in your home. Add kids and pets, and you could have some traffic jams. I found this blog post to be super helpful and I loved the out-of-the-box thinking! (Style by Emily Henderson)
