Seven Fun Things.

Hey, hi, hello! How are you? We have had a crazy couple weeks. We flew out to California for a big family wedding for my sweet cousin Ellen. It was the most beautiful wedding right on a golf course, and they are a STUNNING couple. We had a blast visiting with family and exploring San Juan Capistrano. Plus, it wouldn’t be a vacation for me if we didn’t hunt down all the delicious food in a 30 mile radius. I didn’t take a single picture all weekend, but here is one that my godmother (peep her in the reflection) took!

We were supposed to go to New York City this week, but I came down with COVID. (I dodged it for two and a half years!!) Thankfully David didn’t get it. But that means I have been isolated in our bedroom with just Winnie for company. And let me tell you, Winnie’s not great company, seeing as he sleeps for 23 hours a day. But all in all, it hasn’t been terrible. I have watched more than four seasons of Yellowstone (do I need cowboy boots?), drank my body weight in tea, and painted my nails A LOT. However, my least favorite part is that I’ve lost my taste! I’m living my nightmare. But I’m on the road to recovery!

So here are some fun links to distract you if you need them also!

  1. Budget-Friendly Bathroom Reno Ideas from Tik-Tok

I love the first suggestion: utilize styling. Sometimes in utility spaces (think: laundry room, bathroom, kitchen) people forget the power of adding pretty things. They soften all the hard surfaces in these areas and can make a big impact.

  2. A house tour in Bethany Beach

I like that this beach house felt well-traveled and not theme-y, you know? It feels appropriate for the setting with the color palette, but the addition of the kilim rugs, interesting art and antiques pushes the home in an eclectic direction.

  3. My new favorite Insta account

A golden retriever that wears a chef’s hat and cooks?? I was crying I was laughing so hard.

  4. The most popular color palette for bathrooms nowadays - can you guess it?

Apparently I’m very into bathrooms today.

  5. A pearl-like kitchen in Portland’s Pearl District

This color palette is kind of unexpected in a kitchen, but that’s what is so fun!

  6. My new shirt that embodies my whole personality

    Best $35 I’ve ever spent

  7. Mae West’s former apartment got a moody update

The wallcoverings alone are drool-worthy! I love homes with treasures tucked into every nook and cranny. I personally couldn’t live with that much visual stimulus, but more power to you if you can!
